New Community Yoga Classes at Jameson Hospital

Jameson Health System is offering a new community yoga program beginning August 6, 2013. The classes will be held on the first three Tuesdays of each month from 5:15 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria dining area of the Jameson Hospital North Campus, 1211 Wilmington Avenue, New Castle.

Lori Brothers, certified yoga instructor and director, Jameson Hospital Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease, will lead the sessions that will highlight traditional yoga stretching infused with relaxation techniques. The class will be tailored to all levels focusing on beginners and intermediate yoga practice.

“Yoga has been clinically proven to positively improve health,” comments Lori Brothers. “Taking time out to meet yourself impacts all of your systems to enhance the quality of your life.”

Classes are open to the public and can be attended on a regular or drop-in basis. The pre-registration price is $15 for three classes or the drop-in fee is $7 per class. Cash or checks made payable to Jameson Hospital will be accepted prior to each session from 5:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. Participants should bring their own yoga mat or towel, and wear loose-fitting clothing. To pre-register, contact Lori Brothers at 724.656.4660 or via e-mail at lbrothers@jamesonhealth.org. Visit www.jamesonhealth.org/yoga to learn more.
