I Love Exercise. I Could Watch it Anytime!

JenniferAntkowiakIf that sounds like something you’d say, you should mark your calendar for Saturday, November 10th, and plan to attend “Finding Your Inner Strength” an educational seminar sponsored by The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA (MGA).

The event is geared to myasthenia gravis patients and anyone interested in improving wellness, balance and strength.  It will be held from 9am to 2pm in the Magovern Conference Center at Allegheny General Hospital. 

Keynote presenter, KDKA’s Jennifer Antkowiak, will speak on how to incorporate exercise into your routine. She will also demonstrate regular and modified Zumba exercise. Kathy Clouse, RN-BC, MSN – Director, Nursing & Clinical Education, WPH and Mary Wehling,  RN, MSN – Director of Professional Practice, AGH, will co-present “Staying Strong Despite Muscle Weakness.”  

George A. Small, MD – MGA Medical Director, will discuss the latest in MG treatment and management. Gurney Bolster, M.A. – WPAHS Tai Chi Instructor, will provide an overview and demonstration of Tai Chi and David Russell, M. Ed. will demonstrate Laughter Yoga.  The cost to attend, which includes morning refreshments, lunch, and all materials, is $10 for MG patients and their caregivers, and $20 for the general public.
