The Mt. Lebanon Public Library (16 Castle Shannon Blvd.) will host Barbara Ivanko, President and CEO of Family Hospice and Palliative Care, for an educational discussion entitled “Myths and Facts About Hospice Care” on Tuesday, February 4, 7-8:30 p.m.
This free presentation is open to the public and will include a frank discussion of hospice care – what it is, where it happens, how it is accessed and how it can benefit you and your loved ones. Ivanko will also address how hospice care is being impacted by the Affordable Care Act. The program will conclude with a presentation by the Pittsburgh Threshold Choir, which honors an ancient tradition of women singing a cappella at the bedside of people who are dying.
