AVH Hosts Chest Pain Program in Vandergrift—Jan. 24

heart1Chest discomfort or pain may be a key warning symptom of a heart attack. Too many people wait to see if the pain will pass.  Understanding the proper response to chest pain can make a life and death difference for you.

Allegheny Valley Hospital’s (AVH) PriorityCare program invites you to learn more from Brian Check, EMT-P, when he discusses “Chest Pain: What To Do When It’s You,” on Tuesday, January 24 at 6 p.m. at the AVH Outpatient Care Center located at 224 Longfellow Street, Vandergrift.

Check, a paramedic and AVH’s Pre-Hospital Care Education Facilitator, will teach what to do when you experience a chest pain emergency and will help you understand the important role of the emergency medical personnel in the field.  You can save a life…yours. Please call 724-226-7339 to make your reservation.

PriorityCare is a free membership program offered by AVH to adults age 55 or older; to learn more or to enroll, log on to www.akmc.org/prioritycare.
