Family Hospice support group: “Grief In the Holidays”
Grief In the Holidays is a special one-day, free bereavement program open to anyone in the community who is coping with loss during the holiday season. Experienced bereavement counselors from Family Hospice & Palliative Care and UPMC will conduct this program on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 6 – 7:30 p.m., at UPMC Passavant Hospital, 9100 Babcock Blvd., in the North Hills. Family Hospice presents Teen Bereavement Support Group
Family Hospice and Palliative Care presents a free Teen Bereavement Support Group for area teens (13-19) coping with loss. This five-week program welcomes any teenagers from the community and will be hosted at Seton-LaSalle High School, 1000 McNeilly Rd. in Mt. Lebanon. Sessions take place Thursdays, January 9 through February 6, 2014, from 2:45-4 p.m. Experienced bereavement counselors will work with attendees to identify their experiences, reactions, healthy coping techniques and how to move forward.
